Modern living comfort in Ottakring

The wohnfonds_wien quality advisory board for the “Biotop Wildquell” development area in the 23rd district shows how urban development in Vienna can function successfully as an integrated process in close cooperation between the City of Vienna and all stakeholders.

Yvonne Schrank and Matthias Waibel attended the Quality Advisory Board workshop in mid-May. Together with the relevant specialist departments of the City of Vienna, key topics and issues relating to further development were discussed. The focus was on the interaction of the entire district: the ground floor zones as interfaces to the public space, the open space design, the development as well as use, sustainability and feasibility, including the construction process and logistics concepts.

Modern urban development means continuous exchange and cooperation between all stakeholders. The Quality Advisory Board is a central steering and dialog instrument for Vienna’s urban development – different professional perspectives come together at an early stage and provide valuable impetus for further project development.
