Shahdag means ‘king of the mountains’ and is a mountain in Azerbaijan on the border with Russia that is around 4,200 meters high. The Ministry of Tourism and Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan is building a winter and summer tourism area in the middle of this untouched mountain world.

When completed, this tourist resort will provide accommodation and relaxation for 10,000 guests.
The construction of a series of 5-, 4- and 3-star hotels, apartment buildings and chalets for guests on vacation here is the basis for this tourist area.

Accommodation for around 10,000 employees is also required to cater for these 10,000 guests. Since this tourism center is being built in unspoiled nature, the associated infrastructure is also required: The road network, drinking water and sewage systems, energy and heat supply, electricity and communication systems, ski lifts and cable cars, as well as ski slopes and snow-making facilities, are all planned and built.
