Open space in the neighborhood – AM KEMPELENPARK

Kempelenpark is a spacious public open space that will form the center of the future quarter – a place to meet, play and interact. The adjacent Kempelenplatz will be designed as a multifunctional recreational area in a central location and will be optimally connected to the neighborhood through four entrées.

The integrative mobility concept specifically promotes soft mobility: a dense network of paths for pedestrians and cyclists, attractive connections to public transport and the planned traffic calming measures ensure a high quality of stay – also thanks to the strengthened connection between Helmut-Zilk-Park and Laaer Wald.

The high proportion of green space in the district and the planned handover of the public park to the City of Vienna underpin the long-term added value for people and the environment.
