Villa Rosenthal – Return of the stained glass windows

A special moment during the renovation of Villa Rosenthal: the original leaded glass window is back in place – carefully restored by Rothkegel Glas & Licht GmbH from Würzburg and impressively installed. The artistic motifs tell the story of the house and its former residents.

The beehive stands for industriousness, the spindle refers to the textile trade and the purple fabric is reminiscent of the high-quality textiles for which Iwan and Franziska Rosenthal were known. Their initials – IFR – adorn the upper window segment.

Today, Villa Rosenthal is home to the new Literaturhaus Vorarlberg – a place for language, encounters and creative impulses. The official opening ceremony took place on April 5, 2025 and was a complete success.
