Where our future quarter will grow over the next few years, work, research and production have been going on for decades. AM KEMPELENPARK stands for the consistent thinking ahead of a place that has always had change in its DNA.

Our district tells a story of constant change and innovation: it was once home to a steel and cable factory that set new standards in its day with state-of-the-art technologies. After its closure, the site became Siemens’ research and development center, a space for visions and a source of inspiration for the future of the software industry.

With the development of the quarter, we are setting a new transformation in motion: new paths and visual axes are emerging, creating continuity and making the large public Kempelenpark the central link between the adjacent Sonnwendviertel and the surrounding recreational areas. In future, we will reconnect what has long been a closed-off production and research area with its surroundings.

AM KEMPELENPARK will become a new, hip neighborhood, strengthen equal access to education, open up perspectives and combine central functions of a sustainable city. Through unsealing, generous green and recreational areas and high-quality open space design, the site is also gaining ecological substance – and is developing into a lively, permeable urban space with tangible added value for the microclimate and the people who live there.
