What began as a visualization for STC is now a defining part of the Hohenems townscape.
The Wagnerstrasse residential project was completed in spring 2024, and we can now look back with pride on a successful construction project that interprets traditional architecture in a modern way.
On behalf of Schadenbauer Projekt- und Quartierentwicklungs GmbH, STC Development GmbH supported the implementation of a high-quality residential project on the site of the former Wagnerei – with tendering and local construction supervision (ÖBA).
Planned by the architectural firm Ludescher Lutz Architekten ZT GmbH. from Bregenz, the building takes up the typology of the traditional Rhine Valley house and interprets it in a modern way: with a striking pitched roof, fine wooden façade and high-quality interior fittings in regional silver fir.
Six barrier-free apartments with well thought-out floor plans, spacious loggias, some with private gardens and direct elevator access from the underground car park offer modern living comfort in a traditional form.
The sustainable mixed construction of timber and reinforced concrete and the careful integration into the townscape were awarded the Hypo Vorarlberg Building Culture Prize in 2025 – a project that harmonizes architecture and building culture.
