STC Christmas party 2025

Our Christmas party this year started at the Caritas punch stall. In keeping with the motto “Punch for the crypt”, we kicked off the evening with a small contribution to a good cause.

We continued on to the Haus des Meeres: the former flak tower from the Second World War was converted into the Aqua Terra Zoo in 1957 and now houses over 10,000 animals on 11 floors – an impressive example of how historical existing buildings can be opened up to new ideas for use through careful planning and adaptation. It is precisely this type of transformation that we at STC also encounter on a daily basis in our projects.

During a guided tour of the building, we were given fascinating insights into the fascinating wildlife that lives inside the tower, while at the same time observing the architectural features. It was particularly interesting to see how many of the principles that we apply in our own work – from the resource-conserving use of existing structures to well thought-out pathways and spatial optimization – are also visible here.

The evening came to an atmospheric end with dinner together at 360° Ocean Sky. With a view over the wintry city, there was plenty of time to chat, laugh together and look ahead to what we want to achieve together as a team in the coming year.

A wonderful evening that not only celebrated the end of the year, but also our team spirit and the shared joy of architecture, transformation and new perspectives.

Merry Christmas from the entire STC team!
