Responsible project development for the future

As real estate developers, we bear a particularly large responsibility: every decision regarding location, planning and construction influences energy consumption, land use and CO₂ emissions – and therefore the environment – in the long term.

On Earth Day, we focus on this awareness. For us, project and neighborhood development also means reflecting on our own impact and acting in a future-oriented way.

At STC, we see this as an opportunity to further develop existing structures, reuse already sealed areas and plan or renovate buildings in such a way that they function sustainably and conserve resources in the long term.

Examples from our projects show what this looks like in practice:

  • AM KEMPELENPARK: A former industrial site is being transformed into a modern district with a large public park with mature trees and a high degree of unsealing. A well thought-out network of paths connects beyond the project boundaries and creates a sustainable quality of life.
  • PIER05: In Seestadt, a lively quarter is being created on the former airfield directly on the lake, with green roofs and facades, an energy-efficient overall concept and bicycle-friendly infrastructure.
  • Peak Vienna: Modernizations in existing buildings enable savings of around 1.7 million kWh of energy and 20,800 kg CO₂eq per year – an impressive example of the potential of existing buildings.

For us, sustainable project and neighborhood development means further development – always with a view to the future.
