QUARTIER FOUR at the Wildquell biotope

Urban development requires continuous reflection, clear quality objectives and structured dialog between all those involved. This is precisely where wohnfonds_wien’s Quality Advisory Board for the development area in the 23rd district comes in – the QSB “Biotop Wildquell” was officially launched with the kick-off colloquium on March 25. The event was opened by Silvia Hofer (wohnfonds_wien) and Rudolf Scheuvens (Chairman of the Quality Advisory Board).

Over the next few years, the “Biotop Wildquell” will create a new quarter with more than 1,000 apartments and a wide range of uses for offices, commerce or production through to leisure and events on an area of around 85,000 m².

Together with architect RLP Rüdiger Lainer + Partner, we presented our contribution to one of Vienna’s most exciting urban development projects at the event – and were also able to take away valuable ideas from the professional exchange. For us, this was an important milestone in the development of our QUARTIER VIER – quality in neighborhood development is created through dialogue and consistent forward thinking.

The quality advisory board is not a one-off format, but an accompanying instrument of urban development: it creates space for open exchange, critical support and the further development of central topics such as sustainability, open space quality and social mix throughout the entire project duration.

We are delighted to be part of this process and to make our contribution to a sustainable urban district.
