On National Heritage Day, we’ll show just how much work, coordination, and responsibility go into a successful renovation of an existing building.

For us at STC Development GmbH, working with historic buildings in Vorarlberg is a natural part of our day-to-day project work. Historic buildings should retain their character—at the same time, they must meet today’s requirements and remain usable in the long term.

Striking this very balance is the real challenge: preserving, protecting, modernizing, and ensuring it is ready for the future.

In the context of representing the building owner, this primarily means bringing together the many parties involved, coordinating decisions, and overseeing the implementation through to successful completion. After all, especially in renovation projects, quality often lies in the details.

And sometimes, quite literally, by hand:
Our team provides support on our construction sites wherever it’s needed—for example, during the installation of the original windows in the Villa Franziska and Iwan Rosenthal. It is precisely this kind of work that demonstrates just how much care and personal dedication goes into preserving historic buildings.
